It’s no coincidence that while I was pondering my word for 2025, I was also contemplating participating in author Gabby Bernstein’s 21-Day Manifesting Challenge. The synchronicity felt like a gentle nudge from the Universe, aligning perfectly with my journey. My word for 2024 was “divine,” which manifested itself in so many meaningful ways—spiritual growth, unexpected opportunities, and even the grace to navigate challenges. It only feels natural to continue down this path in 2025 with the word “manifest.”
The word “manifest” is defined as “to demonstrate or appear,” but in a spiritual sense, it means “to create something through the power of your thoughts, beliefs, and intention.” This resonates deeply with me, as I’ve been intentionally laying the groundwork for new paths in my business.
One area I’m particularly excited about is expanding my DIY branding solutions for nonprofits, including my Essential Nonprofit Branding Toolkit, a resource designed to empower mission-driven organizations to begin defining or refining their branding. I’ve also been envisioning new ways to connect and collaborate, such as 1-on-1 coaching and mastermind groups tailored for nonprofit professionals. These projects are born from my vision that all organizations—regardless of size—should have access to branding strategies and tools. Or as I like to say, “branding for all.”
Manifesting isn’t just about wishful thinking; it’s about putting in the work to turn dreams into reality. For me, that means showing up with purpose, setting clear goals, and nurturing the ideas that most inspire me.
The word “manifest” has another layer of deeply personal significance for me and my family’s story: “a detailed list of passengers.” While I was gathering materials for a book about my dad’s life, he sent me photos of the manifest from his arrival in the United States through Ellis Island. Seeing his name on that list gave me pride in his journey, gratitude for his sacrifices for his family, and inspiration from the life he built.
My dad overcame challenges to create a thriving longstanding career and a legacy that has shaped my approach to life and work. His story reminds me that manifesting isn’t just about individual success; it’s about creating something that carries others forward.
As I think about my nonprofit branding mastermind groups, I see them as a modern “manifest.” These groups are about building community, sharing knowledge, and lifting each other up. Just as my dad’s journey was made possible by the support and opportunities offered by those around him, I hope to provide a space where nonprofit professionals can find the resources and encouragement they need to thrive.
As I embrace “manifest” as my word for 2025, I am filled with excitement and possibility. This year is about more than just creating opportunities for myself—it’s about helping others realize their visions and move closer to their goals.
Like my dad’s journey, manifesting requires courage, intention, and a belief in the possibilities ahead. It’s about trusting the process, even when the path isn’t always clear. Here’s to a year of aligning dreams with action, nurturing ideas into reality, and creating a lasting impact!
