Celebrating Collaborative Success: GDUSA 2024 Graphic Design Award Winners

I’m thrilled that two of my client projects were recognized in the GDUSA 2024 Graphic Design Awards!

These awards are a testament to the collaborative relationships I have built with my clients, as well as our shared commitment to creating mission-focused design solutions that make an impact. Here’s a closer look at the winning projects:

ELA Honor Society Branding

ELA Honor Society celebrates outstanding and diverse achievement among ELA students in grades 6-9. I partnered with their team to develop a comprehensive brand strategy, including:

  • Audience personas, brand positioning, and messaging
  • Visual elements, including their logo and identity
  • Branded merchandise for chapters, including student pins, bookmarks, and sticky notes
  • Canva templates for social media posts
  • Marketing Toolkit to help implement their brand strategy

ELA Honor Society launched in 2023 and it has been exciting to see their growth.

Carole Robertson Center for Learning Annual Report 2023

Carole Robertson Center for Learning has been enriching and empowering children and families since 1976. Their 2023 annual report, themed “Voices of Impact,” was a joy to design.

For this project, I used several elements to emphasize the theme:

  • Primary shapes to suggest learning and growth
  • Lines inspired by sound waves
  • Infographics that highlighted their achievements

The design theme tied everything together beautifully, creating a compelling and cohesive impact report that resonated with their audience.

A Collaborative Win

It’s always an honor to partner with organizations making a difference in their communities. Being recognized for these designs is not only personally meaningful but also reinforces the value of thoughtful, mission-driven branding and design in the nonprofit world.

Interestingly, I hadn’t entered a design competition in quite some time. My client at the Carole Robertson Center for Learning encouraged me to enter their annual report project, and I’m so glad I did. I’m grateful for the opportunity to showcase our collaborative efforts and share in this recognition.

Here’s to many more projects that bring visions to life!
