10-Minute Marketing: collect work samples

Ah, work samples. Either they collect dust in the corner, or get lost online. However, you need to be able to find them easily when you need them (hello, hot prospect!)
I make a practice of filing my work samples using a few different methods:
- Printed samples: file in a cabinet (organized by client). If I plan to use in my online portfolio, I also save a JPG image.
- Online articles or mentions: save a screenshot and add the link to a Word doc (I also sometimes make a hard copy print)
Having quick access to my work samples means I can easily adapt the Case Study PDF that I send to prospects (read more about
case studies here)
