Design peek: typographic board books for kids

So, one of the perks of being a biz mama is being constantly inspired by a little person who is bursting with creativity. I wanted to share a personal project I’m working on: a series of typographic children’s books called City Kid.

Spotting the alphabet in the everyday

Inspired by my blog Typography in the City and my “letter”-obsessed toddler, City Kid: ABC aims to get preschoolers excited about learning their ABCs while they explore their city neighborhood. The book includes images I photographed on our daily walks around my neighborhood, as well as well interactive, educational “type-spotting” activities parents or caregivers can do with kids. Books about numbers and colors are in the works, as well as an interactive app.

So, this book is currently self-published in a small edition, but I would love to get them into the hands of city kids everywhere.
