Mailers take note: new mailing prices go into effect Monday, May 11, 2009. One of the most notable changes is an increase in the cost of first-class stamps (42¢ to 44¢). Forever Stamps will always be valid as First–Class postage on standard envelopes weighing one ounce or less, regardless of any subsequent increases in the First–Class rate.
