One of the best ways for organizations to be efficient is by using project management and productivity tools that keep their team connected and improve workflow.

As a volunteer board and committee member for a nonprofit-focused association, I realized I needed to implement systems to streamline our processes and keep everyone on our small staff and board connected

I’ve personally researched and used many of these apps in my board service, as well as for my clients. Evernote, Notion, and Milanote are everyday essentials in my design business.

Project Management

Online Meetings

  • Dialpad (free or $)
    • Free for up to 10 users with 45-minute limit on meetings
  • Zoom (free or $)
    • Free for up to 100 participants with 40-minute limit on group meetings
    • Plans start at $150/month for educators
    • 50% off 1-year subscription for nonprofits

Donor Management

Productivity

Proposal Development

  • PandaDocs ($)
    • They offer a nonprofit discount based on use case and the number of licenses.

At this time, I have not found any nonprofit discounts on proposal apps. If your company offers one, please reach out to me.

Also, just because a nonprofit discount isn’t advertised, doesn’t mean it’s not available. Most app and tool developers are happy to work with you to meet your organization’s needs and budget, so it’s worth reaching out to them personally.
